Light news this week as we come out of the post-holiday lull, but the release of the Switch is looming on the horizon with just one more month to go. Starting off with a Fallout 4 upgrade patch and whether we want to return to it. We talk about the new partnership announcement between Marvel and Square-Enix. The rumor so far is that there will be an Avengers game and a Guardians of the Galaxy. Masaya Nakamura, found of Namco, passes away and we pay respects for his contributions to the gaming industry.

It’s mostly bad news in this week’s Moviecast. The Flash’s movie production seems to be in more flux than the timeline in an average Flash storyline. In this week’s Moviecast, we take a look at some highly anticipated movies and TV shows for 2017 and beyond. Is the DC universe really in trouble? Should it be? Meanwhile, the MCU keeps trucking along even though Benedict Cumberbatch is so busy he needs a stand-in for Infinity War? On Marvel’s TV side, The Defenders gets a release month and will take place months after Daredevil Season 2. Don’t expect a crossover between the MCU and the Netflix universe, though, as Kingpin himself says it’s unlikely. Finally, in other TV news, GoT prequels may be in the works for HBO.
