It’s the final countdown to E3 2017!  Hopes and dreams will either be met or crushed in just a few short days!  We start off by talking about the Nintendo Pokemon Direct and the betrayalton of no new mainline Pokemon game on the Nintendo Switch.  Firing up after that, a Sony executive asks why anybody would want to play PS1 and PS2 games these days!  Capcom reaches for the low hanging fruit with a Mega Man Legacy 2 Collection to no one’s surprise.  And lastly, we briefly go over our own personal predictions for the show from the big three!

E3 is only a couple of weeks away and things aren’t looking too good for some of the most hotly anticipated games as games are already being delayed!  Red Dead Redemption 2 gets delayed to the Spring of 2017 while Square-Enix announces they’re bringing development of the Final Fantasy VII Remake inhouse for “quality control” reasons.  Monster Hunter XX is announced for Nintendo Switch in Japan and Far Cry 5 gets a release date plus some details.

We’re almost done with May and that means we get more numbers from NPD!  The Nintendo Switch was the number one selling console in April but you’ll never guess what number two was!    In other news, to Jim’s surprise, Rockstar announced Red Dead Redemption 2 has been delayed to Spring 2018.  Lastly, we talk a bit about Destiny 2 and if it really sounds like a full fledged sequel or a relaunch of Bungie’s original vision.

A week without Jim continues into the Gamecast!  We kick it off with a discussion of 343 teasing something Halo related at e3, and Microsoft tries to earn some goodwill with gamers by giving away Phantom Dust Remastered for free!  LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 gets announced for a holiday 2017 release and Corey tries to guess the characters on the key image artwork!  A new Harvest Moon game got announced, while Sega claims to be reviving some old IPs, not to mention create-a-character coming to Sonic Forces!  Lastly, we mention a bit on Destiny 2 and ARMS in depth looks and a new rumor from Kotaku on Mass Effect being on hiatus.
